Terry! I disobeyed Mom today. I didn't get in trouble though. It was time to get up but I was all snuggly warm in the covers, my head on the pillow. I didn't want to get up. Mom got up, got ready to go outside and I didn't budge. Mom called me and I didn't come to her. I stuck my head under the pillow. And THEN, Mom pulled the covers off me!!!! I barked and grumbled and barked a whole lot at her. Mom said, How's it feel to have the covers ripped off!?! Ha! I might have done that to her a few times....But not when it is COLD. Then she tried to put the leash on me to go outside. No way did I want to go out so I ran. I pretended to listen to her, let her get close enough to almost put the leash on , then I ran as hard as I could. She couldn't catch me. She said FRED, COME HERE. I ignored her. Probably shouldn't do that. She put her hands on her hips. Dad says that's a sure sign the Dog House is in my future. Then I realized oooo I gotta go! We went outside and as soon as I was done with my business, I ran inside. Kindof forgot Mom was attached to the leash. She wasn't hurt this time though. Only a little out of breath.

Dear Terry, Today, Dad declared as cleaning day! I usually don't like cleaning day because of the vacuum cleaner. But Dad started to clean the hall closet. There was all kinds of stuff in there. I know because I was right there helping. Dad started to laugh and said cleaning day is over Fred, look what I found! He found my tunnel!!!! Dad said no clicker training today, just a fun day. At first I wasn't sure about going though it. I had done it a long time ago. Dad put Spot in the tunnel for me and I zoomed in and out! and again! and again! It was so much fun!  It was better than the pizza party we had the other day. Then we both pooped out and took a nap. Another great day!

Dear Terry, What fun we had yesterday in the snow! Me and Dad cooked out in the snow and the wind. The burger machine made some good food for us! Dad did the cooking, I ran around in the snow until I was covered nose to tail in it! Mom even came out to play. She made sure I had my coat on this time. I barked at the birdies at the bird feeders, mom threw corn cobs and apples in the yard for the deer. Mom took pictures so you could see all the fun we had!

Terry! Me and Mom tried something new tonight. Mom calls it clicker training. She said it was supposed to be fun and exciting. Scared me silly that clicker thing. I wouldn't go near her. I hid behind the TV. The sound is really sharp. I don't like those kinds of sounds. Mom helped me though. I'm supposed to do the right thing, CLICK, treat. She let me sniff the clicker. She said we will start easy since I was a bit scared of it. I got the hang of it! Sit Fred, I sit and she clicks and gives me a treat! That's a pretty good deal if you ask me.  I have to really pay attention though. If I don't, then no clicks and no treats. We only practiced a little bit until I wasn't scared of it and all the treats were gone. I wanted to do more but she said that's enough, you don't have to learn everything in one night. Now I can't wait until we do more! Mom was right it was fun and exciting once I wasn't scared!

Terry! What an exciting day today was! Dad said it was Boys Day In Day! He said in honor of this day we are ordering pizza! And not just any pizza, Terry, Pepperoni Pizza!!!! Our favorite! It seemed like forever before pizza man got here. It was so exciting when he came to the door, I couldn't stop barking. Then Dad got out the special pizza plate. It's one of the big big plates so it can hold bunches of pieces at the same time!! What a great idea! Dad must have ordered extra pepperoni on it because I didn't even have to wait for the last bite on any of the pieces. Pepperoni pizza is one of the best foods ever! I even got to eat some of the good crunchy crust. We were so pooped out after the pizza party we took a great big nap. We kindof ate more then we thought because we almost forgot to save Mom some!

Dear Terry, Mom said you were having a rough time at work. I thought of some things you told me to help you out in case you forgot them! Eat a peanut butter sandwich. You have to eat it slow otherwise it sticks to your mouth. But it gives you time to think about stuff too. Like how good peanut butter is! It's OK to chase butterflies. Remember when I got in trouble in dog class because I chased one and got the whole class excited about it? You told me it's ok to chase butterflies because it made me happy and mom laughed. Oh and one more thing, it's ok to have the occasional accident when you are scared. But Mom says that one doesn't really fit here. So maybe just have a peanut butter sandwich and it will pick you right up!

Dear Terry,  Mom's been sick with a cold. I tried to help her when she came home from work Friday. She went right to bed. I laid down with her to help keep her warm. I didn't even play with the covers. Dad tried to help but I growled and barked at him. I know I'm not supposed to but Mom was trying to sleep and get better! But then I remembered how Mom taught me to listen to Dad when she is sick. Dad said WHOAAAA FREDDIE in his stern voice. I sat down. I didn't want to get in trouble. It's what I do, I sit when I get in trouble. Can't get in more trouble when you are only sitting right? That's what Mom says and I believe her. I inspected everything Dad was giving Mom. One of the things was a pop tart. Mom likes those. She fell asleep with it in her hand. I might have nibbled it. OK, I nibbled it a lot. I MIGHT have eaten half of it. Sure was tasty! I'm sure she didn't notice....

Hi Terry! Look! It's my checkerboard Janet gave me. I've been taking it around the house with me tonight. Usually what I do is put it on my bed and then I press my nose to all the dark colored squares one by one, then I press my nose to all the light color squares. They all squeak! But I do them in order. I think it's best to do in order so I can keep track of which ones I've pressed already. Mom thinks that's a little odd but I like my toys in a certain order. Tonight, Mom says I'm being all crazy because I'm chewing on it in no order and flinging it around and chasing it! I love toys!

Dear Terry, My pal Laura thought I should share my picture of the moozle (cow nose) I got as a treat! I think it's the best thing ever, well WAS the best thing ever since I ate it. Dear Terry,  What a great day! Mom started the day by giving me a peanut butter biscuit. I helped her around the house, then she said Let's GO! and you know what that means!! a trip to the park in the car!!   When we got home guess what!? Dad had fired up the BURGER MACHINE. He said come on Fred! I need some help. He didn't make burgers though, he made chicken and brats. I told you it was a great day! Since I was such a good helper making dinner, mom cut up some plain chicken for me. I was so excited I accidentally drooled on her until I got the chicken! Not too much beats a good cookout in the cold with Dad!

Terry! Guess What?? Today Mom said we hit a milestone. I don't know what that is but we got to celebrate that my blog has over 500 views! Me and Mom and Dad went for a ride to the tractor supply store! Mom said I could pick out what I wanted. I smelled everything. Then I smelled the pig ears! and something else... A moozle! Mom has never bought me one but she said I could pick out what I wanted. I wanted that moozle!! It's a cow nose. YUMMY! I saw a doberman there too. He barked at me, I barked, we barked together until Mom said ENOUGH! Everyone thought there was a ruckus going on but we were only barking.

Dear Terry,  Today I didn't break or scratch up anything! I took care of Dad . He was all wobbly again so he was using his cane to help out. I'm not afraid of canes any more. Remember when I had class and I had to learn not to be afraid of things like canes?  Good thing I learned, because I walk right next to Dad in case he needs me. Now I'm learning the names of things so Dad just has to say, Where's Spot and I go and get him. Where's your bone and I go and get it. I'm working on Where's my cane so I can show him where it is. Me and Mom are practicing but I still mess up sometimes. When I'm not sure, I go and grab Spot or Mr Bubbles. Who can't use an extra friend to find things!?And I still have no idea what the heck slippers are or where to find them!

O Terry. I got in some trouble today. And then Dad blabbed to Mom about it!! Me and Dad were taking a nap and I got the sillies and started playing with the covers. SOMEHOW, I dunno HOW, his glasses got in the mix and then they flew through the air and onto the ground. Dad yelled HEY! and he got up and accidentally stepped on them. I guess I scratched them pretty good. They didn't break though! That should count for something! Dad fixed them up so they look ok, well, not with that big scratch on the one side. I didn't know they were a breakable. All I know is that one minute I'm playing and the next minute the glasses got scratched. Juneau Cat said I was going to go to the Dog House and Dad AGREED! Mom told me they were a breakable. She got the glasses and showed them to me and said Leave It. That's how I know not to touch things. And Mom said I'm not going to the Dog House...this time! WHEW!

Dear Terry,  BRRRRRRRR. Mom made me go outside to do my business. She had to give me a little shove off the porch. I didn't want to go out there! My ears were flapping in the wind. Mom said that was the quickest trip outside ever. I didn't even stop to smell the air or look for the neighbor's cats. My feet hurt when we got back inside so I chewed on them. I'm not supposed to do that. Mom let me up on the bed and tucked me under the big blanket and warmed my feet up for me so I didn't have to chew on them. Once I was warmed up she had a surprise for me! She got my puzzle toy out. The one with all the secret treat hiding spots. All kinds of good treats in there! Just the thing for a cold night!

Dear Terry, Today, Mom got new boots at the store. I inspected them as soon as the bag was open! I could smell they came from the tractor store we go to. They looked like they would be good walk in the snow boots. Mom put them on and we went outside to see how they worked. We walked all over the yard and by the creek and Mom didn't fall! Yay Mom! She kindof slips around in the snow but not with the new boots. She fell the other day in the yard , she's ok.  I can always tell, the leash goes all funny, then Mom goes SPLAT. She fell in the mud that time so she didn't say any bad words. I licked the mud off her face. But I can't see how she can fall in the new boots! She said we will try them out in the woods tomorrow. How exciting is that? It will be good to get outside again for a big walk in the park!

Dear Terry,  Guess what! Tonight was Pepperoni Pizza Night! Mom tosses me pepperoni off her pizza and I try and catch them in the air! Just like I learned at your house from Ted! I'm good at catching things now and almost nothing bonks me in the head. Mom gave me some, Dad gave me some and then I got a piece of crunchy crust. I might have burped a bit after we were done eating. Mom says the cold is making me stir-crazy since I can't play outside. I don't know what that is but we played with Mr. Bubbles and Spot and I ran all through the house like a wild dog. I'm outta breath and pretty tired now. Mom said that playing cures being crazy - at least for today!

Dear Terry,  Happy New Year's Day! I've thought of a few things for the new year to work on.

1.) Eat More Peanut Butter because even a bad day turns into a good one when you eat peanut butter!
2.) Learn More Tricks when I learn more tricks I earn more peanut butter!
3.) Don't Eat Stinkbugs so I won't throw up the peanut butter I got for tricks
4.) Help Dad and Mom more - I'm learning how to put my own toys away and I earn peanut butter
5.) Try Really Hard not to chase the cats - Mom says I would get a whole jar of peanut butter if I stopped

In case you haven't guessed, Peanut Butter is my most favorite thing to eat! Mom says it's a good list and that she will have to buy a case of peanut butter to keep up with me!
